Course info

This course introduces students to the development of Malaysian Chinese religious culture, and discusses how our ancestors brought the traditional folk beliefs from China to Malaysia where they took root，developed and changed. In addition，the connotation and significance of Malaysian Chinese beliefs and the role of folk religion in the various domains of the Chinese community are also dealt with.

本课程旨在让学生了解大马华人宗教文化的发展，先人们如何从中国祖居地将传统民间信仰带到这片土地，及在这里生根发展并产生变化。除此，也希望学生能掌握华人信仰的内涵及其意义，进而探讨民间宗教在华人社会各领域中所扮演的角色。
