This course examines the development and trends of modern Chinese literature from the May Fourth period to 1949. Well- known writers’ works, including those of overseas Chinese, will be selected for close analysis. It is designed to enhance students’ ability to read, analyse and appraise works of well known writers of modern times.
本课程主要讲述中国现代文学发生、发展的历史概况和基本特质。其中对中国现代文学各个发展阶段的文艺运动、文学思潮、创作流派、文学样式和代表作家作品均有详细的评介，尤其指导学生阅读和赏析相关的名家名作。
