The course provides students with an overview of traditional Chinese studies. Through the introduction to Jing, Shi Zi and Ji studies, students gain a comprehensive knowledge of traditional Chinese studies that pave the way for other related courses in their studies and future researches. This course also discusses the value of traditional Chinese studies in modern viewpoint that enhances students’ interests in learning and research into Chinese studies.
所谓“国学”即中国传统学术之总称。“国学概论”乃一概述性课程，藉由对中国固有学术（经、史、子、集）各部之通论讲解让学生得以概览中国传统学术领域之全貌，为学生深入研习中文系课程及未来之进阶研究奠定基础。本课程同时培养学生正确认识固有学术的当代价值，以担负承先启后的责任。- Teacher: Dr Tang Yee Woon
