Recent developments in the fields of computing, communications and information technology have made it a requirement for all professionals to possess and understand the basic operations and implications of computers and information technology. Hence, this course exposes students to the basics of computer hardware, systems and application software, and current IT developments to enable them to utilize computers to the maximum in their chosen vocation. This course will explore the fundamental computing concepts that include hardware and software, data and information manipulation, programming languages, application packages and communications technologies.
