This course covers basic knowledge of morals and ethics. It also stresses the importance of business ethics in the business world and the ensuing challenges faced by managers. The fundamental knowledge of rights and duties, the role of business as a responsible  corporate citizen, the role of government as a regulator and the role of society as a benefactor of all ethical ‘actions’ are also covered. Ethical responsibilities of managers are outlined, highlighted and benchmarked against certain code of ethics. The course also presents to students the idea of social justice of the free market. Business ideologies, concentration of corporate power and relations with unions are also covered.
